Gone 03:34
Gone Written by Jesse Flores Another year gone by and I’m still stuck in time. Live every day just like the last, a loop of societal design. I give my best for a high enough price, I give my best and all the rest all at expense of quality life. Profit over people, “caring don’t pay the bills” Good is beat by evil. The ones on top have no remorse and never will. A few more years go by, but I’m still stuck in time Live every year just like the last. (Too fast, just above the poverty line) Invest in dreams that aren’t my own. Exploit the meek, step on the weak, Reap reward from seeds they didn’t sow. Neglect the ones I love just to provide, Forget the friends I know just to survive... Profit over people, “caring don’t pay the bills” Good is beat by evil. The ones on top have no remorse and never will. ...Will they know I cared when I’m gone?

Lost Words Written by Joe Ochoa When the sound of silence starts creeping in, I take a look inside me and I see the shadow standing within. All the lonely nights and all the mourne and sighs, All these lost words floating in my mind… When the clockwork ticks and you’re running out of time, It makes you feel disappointed for no reason or no goddamn rhyme. You can run back the hours, the minutes that counted, And you’ll find lost words that were taken for granted. What makes the easiest sense, is the hardest thing to do. Weaving in and out of life. (What was there and not a lie?)

Written by Jonathan Avila and Jesse Flores Gasping for air with a permanent blank stare Losing my mind to something that was never there Find peace in time. Must I feel low to feel alive? Easy to breathe. I can’t remember what that means. Spirits so low, it hasn’t changed since long ago. I feel joy when I hear your voice. When I see your face, it takes me to a better place. Reaching for light, no consolation near in sight. Thoughts running wild, nothing said can make it right. To fight or take flight? What can I take to just feel fine? Easy to breathe. I can’t remember what that means. Spirits so low, it hasn’t changed since long ago. I feel joy when I hear your voice. When I see your face, it takes me to a better place. Take me away to a better place (Take me to a place. To a better place)

Written by Jonathan Avila Taking back what I said, I’m going back to find myself again, the parts I thought I hated. I don’t know where to start, I don’t mind taking time.. To find me again. Unsure of this new me, it’s getting old quick. I’m getting old quick. I look in the mirror, I see my spirit walking away… To find me again.

about

“To Find Me Again is a collection of writings that depicts inner conflict, struggles with managing depression and anxiety, and the disenfranchisement of the greed-driven, work-yourself-to-death culture that our world runs on. It is an album about self-reflection, taking inventory, reinvention of self, and asking oneself if they are leading a life that makes them truly happy and doing right by the ones they love? Or are they being pressured to live up to expectations set by others or by societal norms? “
